This is Gelish “Up in the Air-heart” from the Sweetheart Squadron fall collection. I topped it with a marble design of Snow Bunny, Black Shadow, and Chain Reaction, then cured.
After applying one coat of Top It off, I also added Glow in the Dark from the Gelish Trends line, then added another coat of Top It Off. Here’s the final product:
The Glow in the Dark polish worked wonderfully! For the purposes of the photo I had to “charge” the nails (hold them under a light bulb for a minute or so) but, beyond that, they glowed every night with no charging. Sometimes I would wake up in the middle of the night and be a little startled by my glowing nails! And, I had this set of nails for about two weeks with no chipping, as usual.
Have you tried Gelish’s new Glow in the Dark polish? If so, what did you think?
Here are the swatches of the Fall 2016 Gelish collection, Sweetheart Squadron. Introduced in my post last month, these beautiful colors were released around August 1st and I finally got mine ordered. When they arrived I was stunned by how pretty the peach and coral polishes are in real life. I don’t know if you can tell in the photo, but Put a Wing on It has some subtle shimmer to it.
They’re all perfect fall shades, but I feel like Perfect Landing and Put a Wing on it will make great polishes for that transition time between summer and fall… where you’re not really ready to give up your summer polishes but fall is already in the air…
What do you think? Will you buy the entire collection?
It seems a bit early to be planning for Fall, but here we are! Gelish is ready with their new collection: Sweetheart Squadron. The colors in this collection hearken back to the 1930’s and 40’s with beautiful, dusty colors like rose, green, purple and coral, while paying tribute to the women who were pioneers in the aviation industry. The color names are:
- Put a Wing on It
- Rule the Runway
- Up in the Air-Heart
- Looking for a Wingman
- Oh Para-Chute!
- Perfect Landing
